Ajax eye Dovbyk Roma deal as Ukrainian wages shared

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·
In the Ajax training complex the buzz centers on a possible signing as the club negotiates for Artem Dovbyk while Roma agree to cover part of the Ukrainian striker’s wages. The talks have drawn attention across the Netherlands and Italy, highlighting the financial intricacies of the deal. Among the many market hits that Roma should also feature a vice-Malen, the alternatives to the Dutch number 14 have emerged. Now that Ferguson has returned to Brighton after his parenthesis in the Giallorossi, the options are Artem Dovbyk and Robinio Vaz. The club’s will would be to give a more reliable player to Gian Piero Gasperini. Gasperini, the Grugliasco coach, is seeking stability in attack. The Ukrainian does not convince the Grugliasco coach and is not part of the company’s plans. Consequently, Ajax are looking elsewhere for a striker. From the parts of Trigoria they are ready to let the class of ’97 start, but the demands are not low due to the budget weight of about 25 million for the number 9. Such a price tag challenges both Ajax and Roma. According to TeleRadioStereo, Ajax would be concretely thinking about the former Girona striker. Ajax falls on Dovbyk at the direct request of the new coach Michel. The Spaniard had coached the Ukrainian at Girona and had turned him into a goal machine. The deal remains complicated for several factors, including the player’s high engagement perceived by spearmen and other interested clubs. His 29 years also complicate a possible capital gain for the selling side. Roma could therefore release the Ukrainian on loan with part of his contract paid, making a move to the Netherlands more than concrete and reshaping transfer plans for both the Dutch and Italian sides.
