Liverpool sack Arne Slot, Lewis Koumas returns

Liverpool confirmed the dismissal of head coach Arne Slot on Saturday, 30 May. The announcement came as the club's teenager Lewis Koumas completed a loan spell.

Koumas spent the first half of the 2025‑26 season on loan at Birmingham City. He made 25 appearances across all competitions and scored one goal.

The 19‑year‑old returns to Liverpool with a season of senior football behind him. Liverpool will decide his role ahead of the second half of the campaign.
