A headline spot for Thorgan Hazard at Lens

Under the lights of the Bollaert stadium, Lens supporters are waiting for the kickoff of the derby against LOSC.

Thorgan Hazard, who scored a goal and provided an assist in thirty minutes against Paris FC, could be in the starting lineup at the front of RC Lens' attack this weekend.

The former Red Devil, who has been at Zulte Waregem and Anderlecht, is tipped as one of the two candidates.

Franjo Ivanovic, known for his spells at Union Saint-Gilloise, also features among the contenders.

Injuries that open the door

On Wednesday, RC Lens announced in a statement that Odsonne Edouard had undergone surgery and will be out for several weeks.

Coach Yannick Cahuzac clarified that the player has been suffering from chronic pain since the start of the season, preventing him from reaching his best level.

Abdallah Sima remains unavailable due to a thigh injury.

His return is not expected before the end of November.

Thus, only two options remain to start at the front of the attack for the derby on Friday evening.

The starting spot will be contested between Franjo Ivanovic and Thorgan Hazard, who, after a difficult start to the season with the Blood & Gold, is finding his form again and could truly launch his campaign.
