€35m deal sees Kerim Alajbegovic head to Juventus Turin
Reports from Italy confirm that Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen are close to finalising the sale of 18‑year‑old Bosnia international Kerim Alajbegovic to Juventus Turin, with a total fee reported around €35 million and a base payment of roughly €33 million pending the player’s signature.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the Italian top club Juventus Turin have already agreed on the terms of the sale. The only remaining step is the forward’s signature, which is expected shortly.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano Leverkusen will receive a base fee of about €33 million, with additional bonus payments possible. The total package is reported to reach roughly €35 million.
Such a structure makes the transaction a complete financial home run for the German club. It represents a substantial return on the investment made only a year earlier.
Last summer, the Cologne‑born forward was sold to RB Salzburg for €2 million. Following his strong development in Austria, Leverkusen exercised a pre‑agreed buy‑back clause valued at €8 million.
By transferring him directly to Juventus, Leverkusen generate a profit of around €1 million despite the player never featuring in a competitive first‑team match. The profit underscores the club’s ability to capitalise on young talent without on‑field exposure.
