Inter's bid vs Napoli's interest: Union SG's Khalaili summer dilemma
Union Saint‑Gilloise faces a summer fork in the road as Inter Milan moves to submit an official €25 million offer for right‑back Anan Khalaili, while Napoli, having already reached personal terms, lingers in the background, leaving the Belgian champions to weigh a lucrative payday against a potential on‑field void.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Inter Milan have already reached personal terms with the 21‑year‑old Israeli international Anan Khalaili. Napoli had secured a similar personal agreement a few weeks earlier, leaving Union Saint‑Gilloise with two interested Italian clubs.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Inter are preparing their first official bid, which they intend to submit to Union in the coming days. The proposed figure is reported to be around €25 million, matching the player’s estimated market value.
Union Saint‑Gilloise have set a minimum price of €30 million for Khalaili, exceeding the €25 million offer. Transfermarkt currently values the right‑back at €23 million, and his contract runs until the summer of 2028, giving the Belgian champions a strong negotiating position.
Since joining Union in 2024, Khalaili has amassed 99 appearances, contributing eight goals and eleven assists. His pace, depth and attacking play on the right flank have made him a target for top European clubs.
A sale would provide Union Saint‑Gilloise with a significant financial boost, yet the departure would also create a notable sporting void for the Belgian league champions. The club is already gearing up for a new season with high expectations.
The coming days will determine whether Inter can push the deal through, while Napoli remains a background option. Union Saint‑Gilloise aim to extract the maximum return before the summer window closes.
