FC Den Bosch bets on Devon De Corte’s next breakthrough
RSC Anderlecht has confirmed that 20‑year‑old midfielder Devon De Corte will leave the club permanently to join FC Den Bosch, signing a contract that runs until June 2029. The move marks the Belgian‑American’s first senior spell abroad after two seasons with the RSCA Futures.
De Corte arrived at Neerpede in the summer of 2023 from his hometown side Philadelphia Union, bringing with him dual Belgian and American nationality. The midfielder’s transition to Dutch football follows a year of development in Belgium’s youth system.
During two campaigns in the Challenger Pro League with RSCA Futures, De Corte featured in 65 matches, netting seven goals and providing seven assists, establishing himself as a key player for the reserve side. His performances earned him regular minutes in the team’s tactical setup.
He also featured in several fixtures of the International Premier League Cup, gaining experience against peers from other European academies. These outings complemented his domestic league contributions and highlighted his versatility.
Internationally, De Corte represented Belgium at U18 and U19 levels before opting to switch allegiance to the United States at the end of 2025, subsequently debuting for the U20 side. The young talent now hopes to continue his progression with FC Den Bosch, which has shown confidence by securing his services through 2029.
