Report: Tomori rejects Coventry, Milan eye €15‑20m summer sale
Defender Fikayo Tomori, 28, has turned down Coventry City’s approach, while AC Milan are preparing to sell him this summer for an asking price of €15‑20 million, despite his contract running until June 2027 and his exclusion from new coach Ruben Amorim’s plans.
Coventry City asked Milan about Tomori’s availability, but the defender rejected the prospect of reuniting with former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard. The refusal highlights his reluctance to return to a club linked to his earlier career.
Milan consider a sale inevitable, hoping to recoup part of the €36 million they paid to sign Tomori from Chelsea in 2021. His contract, set to expire in June 2027, gives the club ample time to negotiate a departure.
The Premier League‑promoted Coventry could afford the €15‑20 million fee, yet Tomori described a move to the club as a step down from San Siro. He said he will wait for more appetising offers, Tomori’s first aborted transfer; he previously walked away from a deal with Tottenham Hotspur that had been agreed in 2025. The pattern suggests he prefers to control his next destination.
