Palmeiras stand firm as Aston Villa’s €30m bid for Allan stalls

Aston Villa have tabled a €30 million bid to sign 22‑year‑old South American winger Allan from Palmeiras, but the Brazilian club have turned the offer down, according to a report by Globo Esporte. Villa see the player as a key addition to replace the void left by Morgan Rogers’ £137 million move to Chelsea.

Villa are keen to bolster their attacking options after Morgan Rogers’ record €137 million move to Chelsea left a void on the wing. Leon Bailey’s future at Villa Park is also uncertain, with newly‑promoted Hull City showing interest. The Midlands outfit have already secured Alejandro Garnacho but still desire another quality winger before the window closes.

Allan, a product of Palmeiras’ youth academy, made his first‑team debut in January 2025 and has amassed 88 appearances, nine goals and ten assists across all competitions. He featured in two matches at last year’s Club World Cup, including the 2‑1 quarter‑final loss to Chelsea. Primarily a right‑winger, he can also operate as an attacking midfielder.

Palmeiras consider Allan a key component of their plans for the 2026 season and have rejected Villa’s offer to retain him. With his contract running until 2029, the Brazilian side are in a strong negotiating position.
