Fulham spend €40 million on Real Madrid striker Gonzalo García

Fulham have signed 22‑year‑old striker Gonzalo García from Real Madrid, with a contract running until the summer of 2031 in London (Londen). The move adds a new attacking option for the Premier League side.

According to English media (Volgens Engelse media), the club paid €40 million for the forward. The fee underlines Fulham’s commitment to securing young talent.

García expressed his gratitude, saying “I am very grateful and happy to be here. I want to thank the board and manager Álvaro Arbeloa for the trust they have placed in me. I can’t wait to start.”

Ook Fulham-directeur Tony Khan welcomed the Spaniard, calling him “a very talented young striker” and adding that he looks forward to seeing him in the Premier League. Khan believes García will be a great addition to the squad.

García will be joining his former manager Arbeloa, who was until recently the coach of Real Madrid. He will be expected to lead the line in the upcoming season.

De Madrileen had been a standout in Real Madrid’s youth system, scoring 35 goals for the Under‑19 side in the 2023/24 season. The Spanjaard’s record made him a highly sought‑after prospect.

He continued his prolific form with Real Madrid Castilla, netting 25 goals and providing four assists in 36 appearances. His goal‑scoring rate made him one of the most promising forwards in the Spanish reserve league.

In the previous campaign he featured in 39 official matches for Real Madrid’s first team, scoring eight times, delivering three assists, and recording a hat‑trick against Real Betis; the performances earned him a debut for the Spanish national team. The experience adds valuable top‑level exposure to Fulham’s attack.
