Fiorentina's €40m gamble hinges on Zirkzee if Kean leaves

Fiorentina are eyeing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee as a replacement for the Como‑linked Moise Kean, with the Netherlands forward listed ahead of Beto on the Viola’s targets and available this summer, Calciomercato.it reports. The move could materialise before Fiorentina sanction Kean’s €40m sale to Como.

Fiorentina’s pursuit of Zirkzee is directly linked to the deteriorating situation surrounding Moise Kean. The Italian forward missed a Wednesday morning training session, was fined by the club and later agreed to an individual session that afternoon.

Kean's troubled departure

Kean is pushing hard for a transfer to Como, which has lodged a second offer worth €40m, composed of €35m fixed AND €5m in bonuses. Fiorentina have indicated they will not sanction the sale until an adequate replacement is secured.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici publicly outlined three conditions for any departure after the 4-0 defeat at Roma, the third requiring Fiorentina to find a player of equal or better quality. Zirkzee therefore fits the profile the club is seeking.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Netherlands international has moved ahead of Beto on the Viola’s list of targets, confirming his availability this summer. The Manchester United striker remains under contract with United but is listed as a potential summer exit.
