Falkirk banks on Brentford loanee Krauhaus to fill midfield gap
Falkirk need to bolster their midfield as they push deeper into the Premier Sports Cup, and the club have turned to Brentford’s loanee to fill that gap. Midfielder Ben Krauhaus arrives as the English midfielder expected to add creativity and experience.
The 23‑year‑old joins on a season‑long loan from Brentford, with manager John McGlynn describing the move as a solid platform for the Englishman ahead of Tuesday’s Premier Sports Cup tie against Ayr United at the Falkirk Stadium.
Krauhaus accumulated more than 130 senior appearances and 18 goals during two loan spells at Bromley, where he also helped the side secure promotion to League One last season.
He could make his Falkirk debut in the Tuesday Premier Sports Cup match against Ayr United at the Falkirk Stadium, an immediate chance to showcase his attacking abilities.
Falkirk opened Group G of the competition with a 5‑0 victory over Edinburgh City on Saturday, underlining the Bairns' ambition to progress further.
McGlynn believes the loan will allow Krauhaus to take the next step in his career and expects the Bairns' playing style to suit the midfielder’s attacking instincts, delivering an excellent season.
