De Mos urges PSV to swap Flamingo for Geertruida amid Leipzig talks
Former PSV coach Aad De Mos believes it is wise for Ryan Flamingo to leave PSV, suggesting the Eindhoven club replace him with Lutsharel Geertruida, who is already linked with reigning champions RB Leipzig. De Mos criticised Flamingo’s stability and defensive contribution, arguing the club cannot rely on him during this period.
De Mos added that a farewell should be announced for Flamingo and that a transfer might be better for him. Een other scenario he mentioned is keeping Flamingo for emergencies, noting he could still operate as a number 6.
He also stated that Geertruida is further ahead than Flamingo and already an international, making him a good choice. De Mos said the club must decide whether to buy or rent the player.
Geertruida’s Leipzig link
It is already known that PSV is after Geertruida, seen as a reinforcement for the back line, and the former Feyenoord player has a personal agreement in place while the ball remains with RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig prefers to sell Geertruida rather than loan him, but discussions about a possible loan have emerged.
The Eindhovens Dagblad (ED) reported Monday that voices inside the German club are increasingly favouring a loan to avoid squad unrest, and that if RB Leipzig opts to loan, PSV could take the player.
