BVB seals Greeks double‑pack, adds Konstantelias officially
BVB have officially completed the Griechen-Doppelpack by signing 23‑year‑old Greek national Giannis Konstantelias. The Dortmunder side offered a five‑year contract running to 2031 with a gross salary of roughly three to four million euros per season. The transfer fee totals about thirty million euros, with a fixed twenty‑six million payable to PAOK Saloniki.
Nach dem Rückzug aus dem Poker um Said El Mala hat der BVB die gesuchte zweite Offensiv‑Verstärkung gefunden. Alongside Konstantinos Karetsas, the club announced the Neuzugang Nummer zwei for the Angriff, both Greek Nationalspieler.
Contract and financial details
The five‑year deal secures Konstantelias until 2031 and guarantees him three to four million euros gross annually. BVB will pay PAOK a fixed twenty‑six million euros, with up to six million euros in bonuses – three to four million of which are deemed realistic – and a fifteen percent sell‑on clause.
"We are very pleased to have attracted a talented offensive player whose development we have followed for a long time," BVB boss Lars Ricken said. "At 23 he is still relatively young but already brings a lot of experience."
Sport director Ole Book added, "With Giannis we gain a player who will strengthen us with his qualities. We see great potential and are convinced he fits perfectly into our squad. Thanks to the professional and appreciative exchange with the colleagues at FC PAOK."

Player profile and European experience
Konstantelias is a two‑footed offensive midfielder who has already featured in 190 Pflichtspiele for PAOK, scoring 44 goals and delivering 26 assists. The Greek Nationalspieler has earned eighteen caps for Greece and featured in two Europa League qualifying rounds.
In the first round PAOK defeated Dynamo Kiew, with Konstantelias contributing three goals and one assist. The subsequent tie against RSC Anderlecht ended in defeat, and he did not record any goal involvement.
He completed the obligatory medical on Sunday, then flew back to Greece after becoming a father for the second time. PAOK fans had desperately tried to keep him, recalling a similar successful effort roughly a year ago when he was about to move to VfB Stuttgart.
