Astonishing twist: Noa Lang may stay at Napoli despite Ajax rumours

Dutch international Noa Lang is at the centre of astonishing news from Italy, as Sky Sport Italia reports a significant chance the forward will not leave Napoli this summer. The development comes amid weeks of speculation linking him with a return to Ajax or Galatasaray, but the Italian outlet says no concrete offer has been made.

Speculation and Napoli's position

For several weeks Lang’s name has been linked with a move back to Ajax or Galatasaray. Sky Sport Italia notes that, to date, Napoli have received no formal bid and the club’s hierarchy is seriously considering that a departure will not materialise.

Lang returned to Napoli this summer after a loan spell at Galatasaray. The Turkish top club chose not to trigger the purchase option, and, according to the Italian medium, no concrete proposal has emerged.

Ajax's replacement quest and related moves

Ajax are hunting a replacement for Mika Godts, who moved to Paris Saint‑Germain for up to €55 million. Technical director Jordi Cruijff is urgently seeking a new left‑winger, but recent days have not produced any concrete approach.

Lorenzo Lucca, another former Ajax player, faces an identical situation. Napoli expect to keep both Lang and Lucca for now, a decision that currently blocks the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal, although that could change late in the transfer window.

The transfer market remains open until early September, leaving clubs time to finalise their plans.
