Arsenal tops Dortmund, Roma and Atlético in chase for Tzolis

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Greek winger Christos Tzolis, who has impressed over two seasons with Club Brugge, is being pursued by Borussia Dortmund, AS Roma and Atlético Madrid, yet the player has indicated a preference for a move to Premier League champions Arsenal in north London.

According to HNB, Borussia Dortmund, AS Roma and Atlético Madrid are all keen on signing the 23‑year‑old. Arsenal remain the only club that has held exploratory talks with Club Brugge about the Greek winger. The interest reflects the winger’s two‑season performance in Belgium.

Tzolis, a former Norwich City forward, has said he does not feel any rush to leave Club Brugge, but he would welcome a move to Arsenal and is comfortable with life at the Belgian champions in Belgium. He is also content with the club’s recent domestic success.

The departure of Leandro Trossard has placed Tzolis firmly on Arsenal’s radar as a potential replacement. Securing him would require Arsenal to meet Club Brugge’s valuation, which would set a new record for a player sale in the Belgian Pro League. Arsenal, as Premier League champions, are the only side to have engaged in talks so far.

Ben Jackson notes that the interest from top clubs across Germany, Italy and Spain underscores the growing market value of Belgian talent, and any deal would reshape transfer dynamics in the region. Such a record sale could raise the benchmark for future transfers out of the Belgian league. The chase highlights the competitive nature of the transfer market this summer.
