Zulte Waregem appoint Michael Beale as new head coach
Zulte Waregem have appointed Michael Beale as the new head coach. The 45‑year‑old replaces Sven Vandenbroeck at the helm of the Belgian side.
The club announced the decision after terminating the previous coaching contract. Beale will take charge of the first‑team squad immediately.
Interim coach Steve Colpaert will step back from his temporary role. He will resume his duties as assistant coach alongside the new manager.
Colpaert’s return to the assistant position will be based at the club’s Gaverbeek stadium. The coaching staff will now work together under Beale’s direction.
Zulte Waregem aim to stabilise their performance in the Belgian Pro League. The new coaching arrangement is intended to bring continuity after the recent change.
Beale’s first matches will determine how quickly the team adapts to his tactics. The club will assess progress as the season unfolds.
