AS Roma will only consider selling Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk if the bid reaches at least €23 million, ensuring the club avoids a capital loss on the player they signed for roughly €38 million. The Giallorossi are weighing offers after a season marred by injuries that limited Dovbyk’s appearances.

Dovbyk’s campaign has been described as a ‘year to forget’ because persistent physical problems kept him off the pitch. He missed 30 matches and accumulated only 627 minutes across all competitions.

The striker arrived in Rome for an estimated €38 million, including fixed fees and bonuses. Based on a two‑year amortisation schedule, the club calculates that a €23 million offer would generate a capital gain.

Spanish sides Real Betis and Villarreal have already made inquiries about Dovbyk. Additionally, a Bundesliga club is reported to be evaluating a move next week.

AS Roma’s strategy is to secure a profitable deal rather than sell at a loss. The club’s financial calculations centre on recouping a portion of the original outlay.

Before joining Roma, Dovbyk played for Girona in Spain’s top flight. His prior experience in La Liga adds to his profile despite the recent setbacks.
