Ronald Koeman expects Memphis Depay to be fit for Sunday's match and will announce the Netherlands squad for the World Cup on May 27.

Koeman said the selection process can cause headaches, referring to the fitness of players such as Depay, Jurriën Timber and Justin Kluivert.

The Sunday fixture involves Corinthians facing Atlético Mineiro, with a further Copa Libertadores clash against Atletico Platense three days later.

On Friday, the sixth Koeman Cup will be held at the Club de Golf Barcelona, with proceeds supporting the Johan Cruyff Foundation.

The event will feature football personalities including FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, John van 't Schip, Aron Winter and Nigel de Jong.

Justin Kluivert returned this week after more than four months out following knee surgery, expressing emotion after Bournemouth's 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Koeman reiterated that after Euro 2024 the Dutch team will only take fully fit players, emphasizing the need to make tough choices.

He noted that Spain have selected Lamine Yamal despite a hamstring issue, explaining that a 26‑man squad can only accommodate one or two players with limited rhythm.

Jurriën Timber gave a recovery update, saying training is progressing well and he hopes to be ready for the Champions League final and the World Cup.
