Zirkzee replaces Brobbey while Netherlands reserves train in Zeist

The Dutch reserves completed a training session on the sun‑drenched KNVB campus in Zeist a day after the 1‑1 draw against Germany. Joshua Zirkzee remained absent, but was called up today as a replacement for the injured Brian Brobbey and will join the group tonight.

Meerdink leads recovery training, Brobbey sidelined

Mexx Meerdink led a recovery training with the regular starters, while the striker who began on the bench against Germany came on for Brobbey already in the first half. The Sunderland striker suffered an injury and has now returned to his club.

The team continues to focus on the upcoming match. The Dutch national team now targets the next Nations League duel. Next Sunday the squad of head coach Xavi Hernández faces Serbia, after which the selection will train in Zeist for the last time on Saturday at 12:00 and then depart for Belgrade.
