Zidane already fills the Stade de France before his first match
In the stands of the Stade de France, the giant screens broadcast images of coach Zizou, the new star of the French team, while supporters await his first home test against Italy, a fixture already sold out according to L’Équipe, and the tickets, sold in a few minutes, leave no seats free.
Record audiences abroad
For his first two outings as head of the French national team, in Turkey then in Belgium, TF1 exceeded six million viewers for each broadcast. Audience shares rose to 37.7 % then 32.9 %, showing that Zizou retains many loyal fans in front of the sofa.
Stade de France sold out from the first home match
This Friday, Zidane's first home match against Italy is expected to be sold out, reports L’Équipe. The tickets initially put on sale vanished within minutes, despite a price increase and a lineup considered less attractive than during the best performances of the Italian national team.
The last seats available early in the week mainly came from returns by partners, institutions or leagues. The Federation also hopes to fill the arena three days later against Belgium, a goal deemed easy within the Nations League.
A “Welcome home” tifo should greet Zidane's return to Saint‑Denis, accompanied by three landmark dates from his tenure on the Real Madrid bench.
On the security side, nothing alarming: the match is rated level 2 out of 5, with two groups of Italian ultras expected.
The arena is ready for the king's return, confirming that the new coach draws the attention of supporters and media from his very first steps.
