Zerbi definitively keeps Richarlison out of Spurs, emoji reaction
Richarlison responded online on Monday evening to his definitive ban at Tottenham Hotspur, a decision taken by manager Roberto De Zerbi. The Brazilian striker remains out of the squad, while Spurs have not scored a single goal in four competitive duels so far.
Despite the fact that Spurs are still without a goal, De Zerbi refuses to include Richarlison in the match lineup. The coach continues to stick to the club’s line and has excluded the Brazilian international.
De Zerbi said on Monday: "I begged him to stay this summer. He was determined to leave. Things have happened and I follow the club’s line."
Failed transfer plans
Richarlison saw a possible move to Vasco da Gama fall through on the last day of the Brazilian market. Earlier, a transfer to Everton also did not go through.
The Brazilian international Richarlison responded: "I know what has happened in the past 45 days, but it is not for me to say more about it. The club and the coach are one."
Spurs play on Tuesday evening at 21:00 in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool, but De Zerbi also did not include Richarlison in the squad for that match. After the statements, Fabrizio Romano posted the quotes online, to which Richarlison responded with a crying emoji 😢 on Twitter.
