Wrexham boss fumes over stoppage time as Cardiff equalise
Rubin Colwill's last‑gasp free‑kick on Monday salvaged a 1‑1 draw for Cardiff City, leaving Wrexham frustrated as manager Phil Parkinson complained about the amount of added time awarded. The goal came in the final minutes of stoppage, denying Wrexham a win they had seemed poised to secure after dominating much of the match.
Phil Parkinson, Wrexham's manager, said the referee awarded an unusually long period of stoppage time, which he felt unfairly benefited Cardiff. He added that his side had been in control for the majority of the game.
The free‑kick from the edge of the box curled past the wall and into the net, securing the equaliser for Cardiff City. Colwill's strike came in the final minute of added time, leaving Wrexham with little opportunity to respond.
