Where to catch Manchester United‑Atlético clash in Solna

Avec Michael Carrick confirmed as head coach, Manchester United have assembled a packed pre‑season programme. The Red Devils travel to Solna, a suburb of Stockholm, to meet Atlético de Madrid this Saturday, a key step before their Premier League opener on 22 August against Hull City.

The pre‑match build‑up is streamed on Manchester United’s digital platforms X.com and YouTube, but the live clash is only shown on MUTV, the club’s subscription channel available via its website and app.

Les Red Devils can rely on captain Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro in defence, with the young French full‑back operating at right‑back in this preparation. Midfield will feature new signing Andrey Santos alongside Mason Mount, while the attacking line includes Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo to test the Colchoneros.

Manchester United remain without several first‑team regulars – Senne Lammens, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha have yet to become operational after the World Cup. The club is also prioritising the recruitment of a number‑6, with French international Manu Koné mentioned as a possible target.

Atlético de Madrid will line up Jan Oblak, Robin Le Normand, Koke and Ademola Lookman as starters, while Thomas Lemar sits on the bench of coach Simeone.

After the Solna encounter, United will face PSG in Göteborg the following Saturday, then travel to Leeds and later to AC Milan. The Mancuniens will also contest the Ligue des champions after securing third place in the Premier League last season.
