West Ham, Ipswich eye Sunderland striker as he seeks double wages
Under the bright lights of the Stadium of Light, Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor tightened his boots, aware that West Ham United and Ipswich Town were circling his future while he pressed for a wage increase.
West Ham, Hull and Ipswich chase Isidor
Alan Nixon, writing via Patreon, reported that the Hammers face competition from both Hull City and Ipswich Town for the Haiti international’s signature. Ipswich have lodged a £14m bid, while Sunderland value the striker at £12m. Nixon added that West Ham could still put in a higher offer.
Isidor pushes for a double‑wage deal
The same source claimed Isidor is wanting to double the wages of his current contract and remain with the North East side. He has signalled no urgency to leave, but the three clubs remain locked in an intense battle for his services.
The 25‑year‑old appeared in 32 of Sunderland’s 38 Premier League games last season, scoring six goals, after his playing time fell under manager Regis Le Bris following the arrival of Dutch frontman Brian Brobbey.
Isidor returned to Wearside from the FIFA World Cup 2026, where he represented Haiti against Scotland, Brazil and Morocco. His World Cup exposure added to his profile as the Black Cats plan their next campaign.
Sunderland have also sold Eliezer Mayenda to Stade Rennais and are linked with a big‑money move for Ernest Poku of Bayer Leverkusen. The club’s final pre‑season friendly was against the French side on Saturday.
West Ham’s recent capture of Belgian midfield ace Arne Engels from Celtic for a Championship record £22m bolsters their attack, meaning Isidor would add competition for the likes of Taty Castellanos.
