Watford target attacking depth with Spain U21 star Iker Bravo
Watford have moved to plug a lack of firepower up front by signing Spain Under‑21 international Iker Bravo from Udinese on a three‑year contract at Vicarage Road, securing the 21‑year‑old for an undisclosed fee after his standout performance as player of the tournament in the 2024 UEFA Under‑19 Championship.
The club’s technical director Gian Luca Nani said the addition will give Watford new attacking options as they look to improve their goal output. Nani highlighted Bravo’s experience with the Spanish national teams as evidence of his potential impact.

A product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, Bravo joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 before a loan spell with Real Madrid B, showcasing his development across top European systems. The stint at Real Madrid B added valuable minutes in a competitive environment, further polishing his technical abilities.
He transferred to Udinese in 2024, where he featured in 37 matches and scored three goals, proving his readiness for senior competition. His involvement across 37 games underlined his durability and consistency.
Watford secured the 21‑year‑old for an undisclosed fee, finalising a three‑year deal that ties him to Vicarage Road until 2027. The undisclosed fee reflects Watford’s willingness to invest in promising youth talent.
With his contract signed, Bravo will join Watford’s pre‑season training and be available for selection as the squad prepares for the new season, aiming to translate his youth‑level success to the English Championship.
