Watch Cody Gakpo spark Liverpool surge as Alexander Isak shines

Watch Cody Gakpo spark Liverpool's early surge as Alexander Isak scores twice in three minutes, giving the Reds a quick lead over Ipswich Town. The Swede's clinical finish followed a brilliant run and a shoulder feint by Gakpo, who delivered both assists from the left wing.

For the opening strike, Gakpo started on the left wing, surged into the centre, shoulder‑feigned past a defender and threaded a precise pass to Isak. The former Newcastle man took a single touch before smashing the ball into the back of the net with a powerful finish.

Gakpo's growing link‑up with the Swede

Just minutes later, Gakpo produced a sensational, curling the ball from the left flank into the penalty area where Isak, displaying composure, slotted it past the goalkeeper.

Ipswich supporters were left stunned as the Dutch duo combined with such speed, and Liverpool fans on social media hailed the performance, writing that the De Dutch forward was constantly threatening on the left.

Despite the recent arrival of Bradley Barcola, Liverpool manager Arne Iraola is urged not to sell Gakpo, with analysts noting his link‑up with Isak adds tactical flexibility and depth to the attack.

If the partnership endures, Liverpool could rely on Gakpo’s creativity and Isak’s finishing to challenge for top positions as the season progresses.
