Video of Emmanuel Emegha in Paris provokes anger among Dutch fans
A video of the 23‑year‑old striker Emmanuel Emegha being filmed in the streets of Paris in the evening goes viral. In the clip he says that he is not a footballer, but an artist, which causes a lot of uproar among Dutch fans.

The clip shows Emegha being approached and asked how ‘the show’ was. The Dutchman replies: “The show was fun”. He then says: “I have two days off, so I’m enjoying it”.
The guys who address him wish him a lot of fun in Paris. On X, Chelsea fans respond sharply: “That clown hasn’t made the squad yet, but is still going to clubs”, “What a waste of money, man” and “This boy needs to stop playing football. A next Madueke, in a different position.”
Emegha has so far earned two caps for the Dutch national team. In November last year he came on as a substitute against Poland (1‑1) and against Lithuania (4‑0) inside the lines.
The clip was shared on 7 October 2026 by Chels Zone on X with the text: “I’m not a footballer, I’m an artist! I have two days off, so I’m making the most of it…”. The post sparked a storm of reactions.
