Velasco adds four Barça players to Spain‑Finland preliminary squad

Jesús Velasco, Spain’s manager and former Barça coach, presented on Monday a preliminary list of 30 players for the Spain‑Finland match that will be played at the Manzanares Arena on October 20 at 20:30. It will be the Red’s first official match after the European title and is part of the qualifying group for the 2028 World Cup, where North Macedonia also competes.

Among the call‑ups, four from Barça stand out: goalkeeper Dídac Plana, forward Antonio, winger Eric Martel and wing‑pivot Adolfo. Plana and Adolfo have already been European champions with the Spanish national team, alongside the stellar Antonio and under the direction of Javier Gascón.

Schedule and training camps

The final list will be published on Monday, October 5. The squad will convene on Sunday, October 11 and, the following day, the delegation will travel to Alcázar de San Juan, where it will remain in camp until the match.

Barça lose Matheus Jordi Batalla, announced by Javi Rodríguez, before receiving Cartagena Jordi Batalla, and relinquish the lead in the domestic competition.

In addition, the club will have three representatives in Brazil’s futsal national team for the Nations Cup, which will be played from October 12 to 18 in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, against Japan, Peru, Afghanistan, Indonesia and Cape Verde. The regulars Joao Victor and Pito are joined by Matheus, although an injury on Friday could keep him out.
