Tuchel confirms Bayern's Kane plan despite tight schedule

Kane wants to start in all four games

Thomas Tuchel confirmed to the "Standard" that his captain "definitely wants to be in the starting eleven in all four" matches. The 33-year-old striker of FC Bayern is therefore pushing for maximum playing time, even though the English national team has a tight schedule.

This matters for FC Bayern because Kane is among the most heavily burdened players in Munich. After his return from the national team, Vincent Kompany faces a demanding programme of Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB-Pokal. The club will have to fight for the league title and compete in the Champions League quarter‑finals in the coming weeks.

Tuchel was fundamentally not very interested in an intensive squad rotation. "Honestly, I would prefer not to rotate," the former Bayern coach explained, but admitted that the four international matches in a short period could make implementation difficult.

On Tuesday evening, September 29, England will face the Czech Republic in Prague. Tuchel demanded a proactive game: "We must be proactive and give everything. There is no room for a conservative or frugal approach." A win would boost the team's morale and reduce the pressure.
