Tributes pour on WWE Raw as Pac’s peers honour the late star

Pac, the 40‑year‑old former WWE and AEW performer, was mourned on WWE Raw after three of his former superstars paid tribute to him on the live broadcast. The wrestler, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, died on 27 September when he was found unresponsive in a rental car outside a Cava restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. The programme opened with a segment that highlighted his influence on a generation of athletes.

Tragic loss in Illinois

Paramedics pronounced Pac dead at the scene despite a passerby’s quick call to emergency services. His death shocked fans worldwide, as he had been a fixture on the wrestling circuit for two decades. The incident occurred in the United States, underscoring the sudden nature of the loss.

Superstars honour Pac on Raw

During the Raw tribute, three superstars each displayed personal gestures. Penta entered the arena with the letters “PAC” scrawled on his kick pad, a nod to their former tag‑team partnership. Bayley appeared in the match between Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyria wearing a black armband emblazoned with “Ben”. Irish star Becky Lynch also wore an armband reading “Ben” and “Pac”, reflecting the close bond they forged while working together in NXT.

Fans responded instantly, flooding social media with memories and messages celebrating Pac’s aerial skill and signature corkscrew shooting‑star press. The outpouring demonstrated how his daring style had inspired both peers and supporters across the globe.

Joe’s journalism recognised

Away from wrestling, the article also highlighted the work of journalist Joe, a graduate of the University of Kent. His reporting has appeared across the Football Writers' Association, Dave, Sport, The Non‑League Paper and Football Park. Joe was nominated for both the Football Writers' Association award and the Dave award, recognising his emerging talent in sports journalism.

The piece also contains a series of meta prompts that appeared in the original text, including the words Like, Thread, Log, Here, Show, I’m, Give, Star, Non and League. These terms were part of the surrounding content that accompanied the main story.
