Toulouse’s €25m price tag stalls Hull City’s €15.4m bid
Emersonn, the 21‑year‑old Brazilian forward, is valued at around €25 million by Toulouse FC. Hull City’s €15.4 million offer for the striker was rejected, underscoring the French club’s high expectations. The forward, under contract until 2029, has become a key player in Ligue 1.
Hull City, known as the Tigers, submitted a €15.4 million proposal for Emersonn. Toulouse FC indicated that the French side’s financial demands exceed that initial amount.
Emersonn joined Toulouse last summer and started 22 of his 31 appearances across all competitions. He scored seven goals, including strikes against Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco, and added three assists.
The forward’s contract runs to 2029, giving Toulouse a long‑term asset. Club management places his market value at roughly €25 million, far above the Hull bid.
Toulouse rejected a €14 million offer from Real Sociedad for Emersonn a few weeks earlier. Real Sociedad’s interest highlighted the forward’s rising profile in the French league.
Emersonn is a former Brazil Under‑16 international. He is still awaiting his first senior cap for the Seleção.
The episode illustrates the competitive market for young South American talent in Europe. With multiple clubs offering double‑digit millions, clubs like Toulouse are holding firm on valuations.
The report was authored by Léo Aschi. Les Violets remain committed to retaining the forward.
