Tottenham look to offload Richarlison as Turkish suitors intensify
Tottenham Hotspur are eager to move on from under‑performing 29‑year‑old Brazilian striker Richarlison, with journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming the player has agreed personal terms with Turkish side Trabzonspor in recent weeks. Spurs have already rejected two bids worth £15m and £20m.
Why Tottenham want to cut ties
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has repeatedly said Richarlison wants to leave. “Richarlison, he’s said too many times he wants to leave,” the manager told reporters. Tottenham have already signed Omar Marmoush and rely on Dominic Solanke, leaving little role for the under‑performing 29‑year‑old. A potential move to Everton collapsed, and the linked signing of Iliman Ndiaye was taken by Manchester City.
Trabzonspor's lucrative proposal
Trabzonspor, the Turkish club where Mo Salah now plays, have tabled a deal that would triple Richarlison’s current Tottenham wages. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the player has verbally agreed to the terms and is pressuring his club to accept. The Turkish side have already offered monstrous sums and are expected to improve their third bid soon. Tottenham are prepared to offload the striker in the coming hours as the Turkish window remains open.
Spurs rejected two offers worth £15m and £20m, while earlier proposals of about €17.5 million and €23.3 million were also turned down. The club indicated that an improved third bid is now being prepared by Trabzonspor. With personal terms sealed, the deal hinges on a fee that satisfies both parties.
The Turkish transfer window stays open until Friday, giving Trabzonspor time to finalise a higher offer. Tottenham have not yet signed off on any of the proposals, meaning the player’s departure remains pending. Should the London club accept the terms, Richarlison will join a squad that includes Salah, Fabinho and André Onana.
Tottenham remain keen to free up wages and a squad spot, while Richarlison continues to press for a move. The next steps involve negotiating a fee that matches the club’s valuation and securing the player’s registration before the Turkish deadline.
