Tottenham Hotspur Target Barcelona Defender Ronald Araujo

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a €30m move for Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo, according to a recent report. The interest comes as the club prepares for the summer transfer window.

Araujo, 27, featured in 38 matches for Barcelona last season, scoring four goals across all competitions. His performances earned him a reputation as one of La Liga's most reliable defenders.

His contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2031, meaning Tottenham must present a convincing offer to secure his services. The Uruguayan defender also played a role in Hansi Flick’s squad during the previous campaign.

Standing 1.85m tall, Araujo combines aerial strength with timely tackling. He primarily operates as a centre-back but can also cover the right-back position and is comfortable playing out from the back.

Roberto De Zerbi could add depth and quality to Tottenham’s defence with Araujo’s skill set. At 27, the player is entering his prime, making him a potential regular starter for the North London club.
