Toni Kroos and brother Felix mourn loss on popular podcast
DFB‑Weltmeister Toni Kroos and his Bruder Felix used their long‑running Podcast to announce the death of their grandfather, Heinz Kroos, after a Schicksalsschlag, delivering a heartfelt message that left listeners visibly emotional. Grandfather’s death announced
In the latest Folge the brothers shared a traurige Nachricht with the Öffentlichkeit, stating that their Opa had passed away a few weeks earlier. Felix opened the episode with the words, “Der Mann, den ihr hier im Intro gerade gehört habt … Opa ist leider gestorben, und damit müssen wir jetzt umgehen”, a clear Schicksalsschlag for the family.
Felix continued, “Es ist eine Folge zum Start nach dieser Sommerpause, auf die wir gerne verzichtet hätten. Ich glaube, das kann man so sagen, und trotzdem wollen wir sie machen, machen sie gerne”. He addressed the listeners directly, saying “Ihr” and reflecting on the impact of the loss.
Toni added, “Wir sind jetzt hier seit fünf, sechs Jahren, aber man kann mit Fug und Recht behaupten: Das ist die schwierigste Folge.” He admitted he was “hörbar ergriffen” and felt a duty to share the story with the Luppen community, even though he is not usually a Fan of sharing private Nachrichten.
