Thomas Meunier fulfills his Premier League dream with Sunderland
Thomas Meunier, former Belgian international, fulfilled his dream of playing in the Premier League by signing with Sunderland, as he confirmed in an interview with his childhood friend Guillaume François via Play Sports. He recalled their first ball games at ten years old and mentioned the first three matches played with the Black Cats.
A friendship born on the pitch
Thomas Meunier and Guillaume François have known each other for many years. When they were children, they already played football together.
« My dear Thomas, let’s start with a sweet little memory. When we were about ten years old each and we were kicking the ball together, at that moment, did you think it was possible that, 25 years later, we would be here, in a Premier League dressing room, interviewing each other? », asked Guillaume François.
Thomas Meunier responded with a hint of humour: « I think I could have dreamed it, but with you on the pitch! (laughs) But you’re letting me go, so no, it’s fabulous. »
