Super League shock: Tsimba heads to Belgium with Westerlo
In the Swiss Super League, 20‑year‑old striker Emmanuel Tsimba has confirmed his departure from Young Boys (YB) as he moves in the direction of Belgium, joining KVC Westerlo. The Bern club announced the transfer on Monday, after the forward played 12 reserve matches and spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at GC.
From Servette youth to Young Boys
Im Sommer 2024 Tsimba left the Nachwuchsabteilung of Servette to join the U21-Team of Young Boys. The 20‑year‑old forward was integrated into the club’s development pipeline, marking his first step in the Swiss Super League system.
In the summer of 2025 he was promoted to the Kader of the first‑team Mannschaft, and subsequently featured for the YB‑Fanionteam. He logged 12 Pflichtspiele for the reserve side, finding the net once (Tor).
