Sunderland secures Le Fée's future until 2031 with record contract

Le Fée arrived at Sunderland in January 2025, initially on loan from AS Roma, after spending the second half of the 2024/25 season in the Italian capital. The English club later completed the transfer in the summer market of 2025, paying around 24 million euros to the Italian club.

During the loan, the Frenchman was decisive in the promotion campaign: he provided two assists in the play‑offs semi‑final against Coventry City and started in the final victory over Sheffield United at Wembley, securing the Black Cats' return to the Premier League.

In his first full season in the top division (2025‑26), Le Fée recorded 36 appearances, scored five goals and delivered six assists, contributing to Sunderland's historic seventh‑place finish and qualification for European competitions.

In the current campaign, the midfielder already has two goals in the first six games, including the decisive one against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, which sealed the team's victory. “I am very proud to wear the Sunderland shirt and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the coming years,” Le Fée told the club.
