Sommer celebrates Inter's colours before Inter‑Club Brugge duel in Champions
The Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer is two days away from his next engagement with Club Brugge against Inter, a match counting for the second round of the Champions league group stage, and he juxtaposes the memory of the memorable moments experienced in Milan with those that lie ahead in Belgium.
A shared bond between the two clubs
Beyond the club colours, black and blue, the two teams share the same shirt sponsor, Betsson Sport. To celebrate this curious coincidence, an official social media video was posted in which some players from both sides explain the meaning of black and blue.
Sommer, who left Inter in the summer to join Brugge, said: “Blue and black are two special colours for me. I have lived memorable moments with Inter and now with Brugge. So yes, I have experienced many beautiful moments, they are two beautiful colours.”
The Frenchman Marcus Thuram added: “Black and blue mean joy, passion and history for me. And many, many titles.”

The Belgian defender Joaquin Seys explained his bond: “When I have the opportunity to wear these colours I do so with great pride. I have worn them since I was a child and every time I see them I think of the club of my heart.”
Midfielder Luis Henrique associated the black‑and‑blue with three words: “Dream, heart and strength.”
Finally, the Englishman Curtis Jones summed up: “I simply think of Inter. It reminds me of the stadium, the fans, the city.”
