Sky's Colpo: Napoli's surprise defensive priority with Gatti

Napoli have locked in a surprise defensive signing, a clear priority after the recent setbacks involving Buongiorno and Beukema, with Sky branding the move a ‘colpo’ and confirming the club has already booked Juventus centre‑back Federico Gatti in the transfer window.

Il Napoli have been actively searching for a defensive reinforcement after the recent issues with Buongiorno and Beukema. Sky Sport supplied the latest update on the club’s transfer agenda. The Italian side is now focusing on securing a new centre‑back before the window closes.

According to the report, Napoli have already booked the signing of Federico Gatti from Juventus. The club views Gatti as the primary target following the departures of Lindstrom and Gutierrez. Gatti’s arrival would address the defensive gaps that emerged earlier in the season.

The report also lists Badiashile and Tiago Gabriel as alternative options on Napoli’s radar. Both players are being monitored as potential backups should the Gatti deal stall. Napoli’s scouting department continues to evaluate their suitability for Serie A competition.

The information was disclosed by Sky Sport colleagues, who confirmed the priority remains Gatti. The news was first published on Google Discover under the heading Fonti preferite, with the label Stampa A&minus A+. Napoli’s management appears confident in finalising the deal imminently.

With the defensive target now identified, Napoli can concentrate on reinforcing other areas of the squad before the transfer deadline approaches.
