Six exits loom for Real Madrid as Mourinho reshapes squad

🇪🇸 By 4AllFootball ·

Six players are earmarked for departure by Real Madrid as the summer transfer window enters its final weeks, with club bosses prepared to let several first‑team members go to reshape the squad for the 2026‑27 campaign under new head coach Jose Mourinho.

So far only senior players to have left this summer are Dani Ceballos, whose contract was terminated, and Fran Garcia, who was sold to Real Betis. Both were deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho, who has said he does not intend to use more players during the 2026‑27 season.

According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid have identified as many as six players that can leave the club before the window closes.

Raul Asencio, Eduardo Camavinga and Franco Mastantuono (on loan) have been told by Mourinho that they are not in his plans for the upcoming campaign.

The club will also consider offers for Ferland Mendy, Endrick (on loan) and Gonzalo Garcia.

Real Madrid are working on deals for Yan Diomande and Rodri, and will seek replacements should any of the identified players depart.

Mourinho wants Asencio to leave in order for a new centre‑back to arrive, and he will demand another striker if Gonzalo ends up being sold to Alvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham.

The last two seasons showed that significant change was needed at Real Madrid if they were to challenge Barcelona in La Liga and make a serious push for their 16th Champions League, with squad inflation warned could lead to dressing‑room tensions.
