Shana Mendes, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, backs RC Lens after LOSC
Shana Mendes, 19, elected Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2026, now says she supports RC Lens, nicknamed the Blood and Gold, although she was initially a LOSC supporter. She told this to La Voix du Nord on Saturday evening in Liévin.
An unexpected football evolution
Crowned on Saturday evening in Liévin, the celebrated Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2026 surprised Racing supporters by showing her attachment to the Lens club.
During the interview, the young woman recounted her football journey, mentioning a stint with LOSC before moving closer to Racing. “At first, it was LOSC,” she explained.
Her election as Miss Noyelles‑sous‑Lens gradually strengthened her bond with the Lens area. “Being Miss Noyelles‑sous‑Lens, I have naturally become a Lens heart as well,” she added.
RC Lens can therefore count on a rather unexpected support, a weight that could resonate among the Blood and Gold.
At 18, she will wear the colors of Nord‑Pas‑de‑Calais at Miss France 2027, while she is 19 after her coronation in Liévin, thus launching a new national adventure.
