New Laws of the Game
The briefing outlined the principal changes to the Regole del Gioco contained in FIFA Circolare n. 1. Those amendments stem from decisions approved by the IFAB and will be applied from the 2026/27 season.
Stoppage‑time reforms
Particular focus was given to new provisions governing stoppage situations. The aim is to increase the effective playing time of matches and to make contests more fluid, dynamic and spectacular.
