SERIE A: Chukwueze Bags Assist as Milan Begin Season with Torino Win

AC Milan secured a 2-1 victory over Torino on Sunday, moving into fourth place after the opening round of Serie A and giving new manager Ruben Amorim a positive start. Samuel Chukwueze featured for the full 90 minutes and provided the assist that opened the scoring.

Early goals set the tone

Alphadjo Cisse gave Milan the lead in the 64th minute, finishing from a Samuel Chukwueze assist. The strike put the visitors ahead and shifted momentum in their favour.

Just three minutes later Chukwueze delivered a second pass, this time setting up Adrien Rabiot to double Milan’s advantage in the 67th minute. The quick reply cemented the lead before half‑time.

In the 93rd minute Che Adams pulled one back for Torino, offering a consolation goal in stoppage time. The strike did not affect the final outcome but gave the hosts a late response.

The win places AC Milan in fourth position after the first round of matches. It marks a solid start for the Italian giants under their new coaching staff.

Chukwueze hopes to impress head coach Ruben Amorim to retain regular first‑team action. Last season he spent time on loan at Fulham, featuring in 23 Premier League games, scoring three goals and providing four assists. The midfielder aims to build on that experience in the Serie A season.

Meanwhile, Akor Adams played the full 90 minutes for Venezia in a 2-0 home loss to Lecce. He joined Venezia from Sevilla, where he recorded ten goals and three assists in 32 La Liga appearances. Read also the exclusive story about Akor Adams.
