Senne Lammens tries to calm Manchester United's deep crisis

In the corridors of Old Trafford stadium, Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens spoke candidly about the situation weighing on Manchester United. The English club is going through a deep crisis, with seven consecutive matches without a win and a heavy 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League.
After the defeat, captain Bruno Fernandes openly questioned the tactical choices of coach Michael Carrick. His sharp criticism fueled tension in the dressing room, putting Carrick's position under growing pressure.
Crisis and performances
Manchester United now records seven straight matches without a win, a sign of a particularly delicate period. The 4-1 loss to Como, suffered in the Champions League, only heightened the collective unease.
According to Lammens, frustration is rising in the dressing room, but it must not turn into division. The players feel the pressure of not winning and this is reflected in their sometimes impulsive remarks.
Lammens' call for unity
“After a match, the players are sometimes very frustrated. I understand that, because I am myself enormously frustrated. We all want to play better and win matches. So we sometimes say things we don’t really mean or fail to express clearly what we want to say,” said the Red Devil in an interview granted to.
Lammens' mistake worsens Carrick's crisis at Manchester United
He added that solidarity persists despite recent media outings: “People who watch us from their homes cannot see what is happening internally. We also have to show this unity on the pitch. But I can assure you that we are doing everything we can. Everyone supports the coach: the players, the staff and the people within the club. We always remain one single group.”
Lammens stressed the importance of avoiding catastrophic starts, recalling: “You can prepare as many tactical plans as you like, but if you concede a goal after one or two minutes, the whole game plan collapses. You then constantly find yourself chasing the score.”
He noted a clear difference with the previous season, when “everything had fallen into place.” This year, the team has tried to develop, but it needs to regain the fighting spirit that characterized the group last year.
Neville and Carragher demand Carrick's dismissal at Manchester United
Manchester United will have a new opportunity to end its negative run on Sunday, when they host Bournemouth. Supporters hope that the unity highlighted by Lammens will translate into a different performance.
