SC Telstar plugs attack gap with Feyenoord talent Fabiano Rust
SC Telstar, seeking to bolster its attacking options, announced the signing of 21‑year‑old forward Fabiano Rust. The former Feyenoord youth product trained with the Velsen‑Zuid side for four weeks and has now agreed to a contract running until mid‑2028, with an additional year option.
Rust spent the past weeks training alongside the first‑team squad in Velsen‑Zuid, impressing head coach Henk Brugge enough to earn a professional contract. His integration was completed during a four‑week training period with the club.
The agreement runs until the middle of 2028 and includes an option to extend for an additional year, securing the forward’s services for the foreseeable future. The deal reflects Telstar’s intent to reinforce its attacking line‑up.
Rust developed in the Feyenoord youth system, where he featured for the under‑19 side, accumulating 75 appearances, 26 goals and five assists. His contributions at youth level highlighted his goal‑scoring instincts.
Prior to joining Feyenoord’s academy he was part of ADO Den Haag’s youth setup. That early experience laid the foundation for his later development at Feyenoord.
He left Feyenoord on a free transfer this summer and became Telstar’s sixth summer acquisition, joining fellow newcomers Marvin Peersman, Rui Mendes, Abdelnour Soualhia, Emirhan Demircan and Noach Shenkman. The influx of new players signals an ambitious recruitment drive ahead of the new season.
