Roy Keane: JJ Gabriel says Madrid can give United its medicine

In an interview for the Stick to Football podcast, Roy Keane commented on the uncertain future of JJ Gabriel El Madrid, the 15‑year‑old Brazilian youngster who requested his departure from Manchester United, causing a tremor in the club and sparking interest from several teams.

Real Madrid as a possible destination

According to journalist Mario Calderón, the Spanish club most mentioned as a new destination is Real Madrid, although the situation remains in limbo.

Keane said: “Madrid can give United its own medicine. Has United not signed 14‑year‑old boys from other clubs? It has been doing it for 20 years with the smaller clubs,” and added that the newcomers will understand what a derby is.

Javier G. Gómara quoted John Terry, who revealed a great gesture by Hazard in his farewell to Madrid, saying: “I wouldn’t have done it.”

Calderón stated that the case remains stuck and that in the coming weeks it will be known where it will end up.

Manchester United, for its part, does not rule out steering the matter so that the boy continues with the English side.
