Roma’s left-back hunt stalls as Porto’s Mora nears Galatasaray move

Roma’s search for a left-back remains unresolved after Porto’s Rodrigo Mora was offered to the Serie A side, but the 2007-born defender is now one step from joining Galatasaray. Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed the delay three days ago following talks with Porto’s management, stating the long-awaited arrival would not materialise soon.

The coach reiterated the uncertainty after Roma’s last friendly, while Tony D’Amico continues to work on unlocking the club’s attacking transfer window. The club’s priority targets remain unchanged: Antonio Nusa and Malick Fofana lead the list in order of preference.

Leipzig’s valuation for the Norwegian midfielder stands at €60 million, while Lyon’s asking price for Fofana is lower at €45 million. However, Fofana’s physical condition has raised doubts about his readiness. A separate transfer complication involves the Belgian international: following Diomande’s sale to Real Madrid, the agents of Fofana and Diomande have proposed the Lyon winger to Leipzig as part of a package.

D’Amico is also attempting to enter the race for Endrick, the Brazilian forward who prefers a move to Mourinho’s Real Madrid despite limited playing time being expected. Roma are still waiting, attempting to outmaneuver English clubs in the pursuit.

Porto’s Rodrigo Mora was also offered to Roma, but the left-back is now closer to finalising a deal with Galatasaray. The Giallorossi’s left-back search continues amid shifting priorities and competing bids.
