Roma push for Endrick as January loan could boost Gasperini’s attack
AS Roma are eager to inject fresh impetus into Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack as they sit atop the Serie A table after five games. With the Brazilian teenager Endrick keen for regular first‑team football, the Giallorossi see a January loan as the perfect solution to bolster pace and quality.
Roma’s pursuit intensifies
The Giallorossi have stepped up their pursuit, confident they can outpace rivals for the Brazilian youngster, Corriere dello Sport reports. Sporting director D’Amico has labelled Endrick a priority, believing the 20‑year‑old fits perfectly into Gasperini’s attacking philosophy. Roma have been negotiating the loan since last summer and have already received encouragement from the player’s camp.
Milan are also making concrete enquiries, leveraging their strong relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. However, Roma’s longer‑standing dialogue appears to have swayed Endrick, who prefers a move to the capital club. This perceived preference could prove decisive in the final decision.

Endrick’s credentials and competition
Endrick has featured for only four minutes this season at Real Madrid, making a loan move likely similar to his previous term away from the Spanish giants. After a barren spell last season, he revived his form at Lyon, netting eight goals and providing eight assists in 21 appearances during the second half of the campaign.
His resurgence earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup plans and he recently added a goal and an assist for the national side against Australia and India. Yet Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho has yet to grant him meaningful minutes, prompting the teenager to seek regular action elsewhere.
Roma, currently unbeaten with four wins and a draw, are chasing their first Scudetto since 2001 and hope Endrick can supply the inspiration needed in the second half of the campaign. With the January window still some way off, talks are expected to continue as the Italian club prepares for a potential loan.
