Roma chase Greenwood as Fenerbahçe offers richer deal
Roma are set to submit an offer to Marseille for English winger Mason Greenwood, aiming to finalise the deal before the first week of July after a 7.5‑million contract offer from Fenerbahçe was reported. The club must present a convincing proposal to OM in the coming hours.
Gian Piero Gasperini has identified Mason Greenwood as his top priority to boost Roma’s attack. Greenwood contributed 49 goals for Marseille over the last two seasons, a record Gasperini hopes to replicate.
Fenerbahçe also targets Greenwood, leveraging its significant financial resources. The Turkish side has reportedly offered a 7.5 contract compared with the 4.5 figure discussed with Roma.
Roma chase Nicolò Tresoldi to back up Malen as Greenwood priority
Tony D’Amico has reassured the 2001‑born Greenwood, asking him to be patient as negotiations between Roma and Marseille unfold. He emphasized that the player should wait for the first week of July before deciding. OM announced that no official offer from Italy has arrived yet, despite Greenwood’s agreement with Roma. The French club indicated that discussions are still in progress. If Roma submit a convincing offer, Greenwood could join the Giallorossi, strengthening their forward line. Conversely, a failure to outbid Fenerbahçe may see the winger remain in Turkey, leaving Marseille to seek alternative buyers.
