Repeated collapses raise alarm for Bayern Munich's Musiala

Jamal Musiala of Bayern Múnich collapsed around the 68th minute in a friendly against Heidenheim, just four days after a similar episode in the match versus Leipzig, prompting renewed concern over his physical condition.

First fainting episode vs Leipzig

The initial incident occurred against Leipzig when Musiala entered from the bench and, about thirteen minutes later, fell to the ground as temperatures rose. Bayern attributed that episode to the high heat recorded during the game.

Teammate Ismael Saibari reacted quickly, preventing Musiala from suffering a more serious impact as he appeared visibly affected before the fall.

Second episode and medical response

During the Heidenheim friendly, the score was tied 2‑2 when Musiala, having come on eight minutes earlier, collapsed again around minute 68. His teammates surrounded him, but this time he was able to walk off the pitch unaided and head to the dressing‑room tunnel.

Prior to the match, Bayern’s medical staff conducted a series of tests that revealed no serious problem, leading head coach Vincent Kompany to give him minutes in the second half.

On the Monday after the Leipzig incident, Musiala trained separately from the group, yet the absence of a clear diagnosis meant he was still selected for the Heidenheim game.

After the match, sporting director Max Eberl declined to give details, stating, "Jamal will speak soon about it. We already knew. He is in the locker room, changing clothes and showering," and emphasized that the priority now is to determine the cause of the collapses.

Reuters described the situation as "Preocupante," underscoring the growing unease within Bayern’s camp about the German international’s health.
